    “People Matter to God” is a core belief of First Methodist Church of Waco, and many opportunities are offered to be involved in outreach and evangelism ministries. I became a member of FUMC almost 14 years ago, and I have always been so inspired by the different ways the church reaches out to not only our local community, but also to areas around the world. Last June, 600 members of our church family participated in an event called Feed My Starving Children where we packed over 108,000 meals in one day that ultimately fed hungry children in several parts of the world. The joy and excitement that filled our Family Life Center during the meal packing was indescribable! The event was so successful that another Feed My Starving Children MobilPak has been scheduled for June, 2015! If you want to be part of a growing, vitalized church that is enthusiastic for Jesus and puts its beliefs into action, visit FUMC!
